CHANDIGARH: Babbe rKhalsa area commander” Kulwinder Singh alias Bittu the other militants and a constable were among 16 persons killed and one person was kidnapped in Punjab.
In an encounter security forces shot dead militant Kulwinder Singh alias Bittu “area commander” of Babber Khalsa near Kila Lal Singh village in Batala Police district on Saturday night.
Batali SSP C.S.R. Reddy said the slain militant was responsible for the killing of 30 persons including few security forces personnel.
An unidentified militant was shot dead in an “encounter” with security forces near Sabrahwa village in Tam Taran Police district on.
