SJULLUNDER: The appointment of Baba Thakur Singh as Mukhi of Dam Dami Taksal was welcomed at the joint meeting of Panthic Committee by Tejinder Singh Babar, Jasbir Singh Chehjuru, Gurjant Singh Rajasthani, Lt. Gen. Bakshish Singh Sona, Bhai Darshan Singh, Bhai Kulwant Singh Kole, Bhai Dalwinder Singh, Satpal Singh Sethi, Bhai Major Singh and the leader of A.LS.S.F Gurnman Singh Budala.
Refuting the criticism from certain quarters it was declared at the meeting that Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh Khalsa, Sant Baba Kartar Singh Khalsa and Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale had expressed their confidence in Baba Thakur Singh by appointing him as in charge in their absence.
All the youth and organization engaged in the freedom struggle have supported this appointment. Moreover only Singhs of Dam Dam Taksal have the right to appoint their head, they said.
It was reported that Baba Was san Singh and Baba Manochahal has disapproved this appointment.
