LUCKNOW: Maharshi Mahesh Yogi has offered support to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in developing Ayodhya into a tourist resort. He has also submitted his blueprint for the project.

Highly place VHP sources told The Pioneer that Mahesh Yogi has asked the VHP top brass to first find out if the State Government would be ready 10 develop Ayodhya according to his plans. “The project is said to be under the active consideration of the Government.

“This project would be in addition to the VHP plans for developing Ayodhya which involves expenditure worth crores of rupees. The money would be mobilized by the VHP itself and the Government would simply assist the VHP in the plans implementation.

The Yogis plan is to develop Ayodhya as one of the best religious cities of the world. It has a Jot of importance among his disciples and foreigners who generally go back disappointed after visiting other religious places of the country.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has already bought 200 acres of land on the banks of river Saryu for establishing Ved Vidyapeeth. The total land required for the Vidyapeeth is about 1000 acres and the VHP is helping the Yogi in acquiring it.
