FRESNO, CA: Awaaz E Waatan, a Punjabi cultural program, which was started on March 21, 1992 successfully completed its first year, this show was started by Parminder S.Dhillonand Gurpreet §.Mann and is telecast on Channel 34 from Fresno and covers the San Joaquin Valley. The program was started with an aim to promote values of Punjabi culture in the younger generation. The program consists of Gurbani, Health watch, songs, news and cultural programs.
A get together was organized at Bombay Cuisine to thank the advertisers who had supported them throughout the year especially Gill Insurance Agency, Jagroop S.Gill and many others. On this occasion Gary Cocola T.V, Station Owner, George Cooper Station Manager, Gary Hanson, Hary Gill, B.S.Dhillon, Dr.G.S.Sidhu, Mrs.Gudhi Sidhu, Amnik S.Virk, and Mrs. Baljit Kaur congratulated the Awaaz E Waatan completion of its 1st year. Amrik S, Virk who has a service of 20 years in India in Broadcasting Service of India and also Dordarshan Jalaundhar for seven years, welcomed the guests and presented momentous to Gary Cocola and Gill Insurance Agency.
