CHANDIGARH: Two of India’s national level “kho kho” players Harcharan Singh and his wife Paramjit Kaur were among half a dozen persons arrested by the Chandigarh police last week for being members of Khalistan National Army, a new militant outfit.
The police chief RS Gupta claimed the recovery of explosives two A k 47 and A k 74 rifles from them. Among the arrested were Satinder Singh and Sarabjit Singh. The police said that the interrogation of the arrested persons revealed that they were planning to explode big government buildings, kill an important political leader and an advocate.
