GUWAHATI: A ferry carrying 70 people overturned in a remote Indian river near the Chinese border, killing at least five people and leaving 50 missing, officials said on Wednesday July 31. Rescue teams recovered five bodies after the accident, which took place on Tuesday on the Noa Dihing River in the Tinsukia district of northeastern Assam state, a district official said.
