BONN: A group of about 100 Indians mostly Sikhs from Punjab who tried to emigrate secretly to the U.S from Germany in a Cargo Container on February 20are now being interrogated by epolcein the lower-Saxony town Soltauin Non Germany,
The news of the attempted “criminal collective and inhuman transportation of the Sikhs like Cate in a 12 meter long and 25meter wide Cargo-Container dominated the German media during the weekend. The television showed him inside of the other container and spoiled unhygienic tight space for 100 Sikhs.
Most of the Sikhs who confused to have paid RS80,000 drive even more per head for their illegal transportation to New York said they wanted to immigrate to Canada,
Police in the city of Soltau according to reports noted that many of the Sikhs were registered since few years as Political Asylum seekers from India. They left their Asylum-Camps without informing the authorities. They are now again being sent backs to their original Asylum-Camps the report added.
Several Sikhs however could not produce any evidence or valid documents for their stay in Germany. They are presently being interrogated in Soltau majority of the Sikhs are youngsters and. below 30 years of age a report said.
After coming out of the container the Sikhs ran in panic and hide themselves at different places in the small town of Soltau. The alarmed local police could only trace 40 people till now. The rest are absconding.
