GUWAHATE: The north eastern state of Assam was rocked by an earthquake of moderate intensity at 0955 hours on Thursday.
‘A mumbling sound followed the tremor which lasted for seven seconds. Ranling doors and windows forced panic stricken people out of their houses for safety cover.
Preliminary official reports received here said that there was no report of damage to property or casualty.
