CALCUTTA(PTI): Four Indian People’s Front (IPF) activists were arrested when they waved black handkerchiefs at Prime Minister P.V Narasimha Rao while he was on his way to the airport here on June 29 from the Indian statistical institute.
The police said the four IPF workers, who were in the crowd to see the Prime Minister’ s convoy passing through the five point crossing at Shyam bazar area, suddenly waved black hand kerchiefs at Rao, The police immediately took them into custody.
