SONEPAT: The New Delhi bound Jhelum Express (1078) was delayed for one and a half hours following a clash between Army men and commuters at the Railway Station here on June 25. The incident took place when commutes forced their way into the reserved compartment of Army men who objected to it. But the commuters did not listen their plea and they tried to enter the reserved compartment. This led to a clash between them.
The commuters pelted the compartment with stones and smashed the windowpanes. As a result some of the Army men Sustained injuries. Thereupon the Army men became furious and they beat up the civilian commuters.
