NEW DELHI, AUG3 (PTI): Premier Narasimha Rao’s Ruling Congress1 Tuesday described as “a personal view” the reported comment of human resource development minister Arjun Singh that tie admission of the seven Janata Dal (Ajit) rebels into the party could be construed by some as a “mockery” of the anti-defection law. “It is his personal view. As one Congressman, it is his view,” party spokesman Chandulal Chandrakar told reporters when asked his reaction on the issue.
To a volley of questions whether Singh, who is a member of the party working committee, had indulged in indiscipline as he had rushed to press on internal party matters, Chandrakar’s reply was that whatever the human resource development minister had said was his personal view.
