YUBA CITY: World Sikh Organization (U.S.A.) Yuba City (Chapter organized commendable function for the freedom of Bhai Ranjit Singh Gill and Bhai Sukhminder Singh Sandhu at Gurdwara Sahib Tierra Buena.
On the Martyrdom day of Bhai Mani Singh Bhog of Akhand Path concluded with a Ardas (Prayer Service) for the freedom of both these young Sikhs who re held in the New York Jail from the last seven years.
Gurcharan Singh (President W.S.0.) was the key note speaker. He outlined the present struggle and role of every Sikh has to play for the freedom of Sikh nation Dr Amarjit Singh spokesman of Panthic Committee also addressed the congregation. He asked the Sikhs to continue struggle for freedom with determination and certainly the victory will follow soon, he said Dr. Gurinder Singh Grewal (President of W.S.N), S. Didar Singh Bains (Founder President of W.S.0.) S. Gurnam Singh Pamma and Bibi Amrit Kaur Bhopal also were among the other speakers.
S .Didar Singh Bains and his family need to be congratulated for the success of this function S. Bains said that Sikhs need to provide all the necessary help for the defence of Ranjit Singh Gill and Sukhminder Singh Sandhu. He also declared that these are our children and we will do our duties to defend them. S. Bains remains out spoken protagonist of Khalistan.
Overall al the Sikhs appeared to be joyed over the success of boycott of elections by the Sikhs held by occupied forces in Punjab. All the speakers requested the Sikhs back home and in U.S.A. to unite the common goal and support the freedom fighters.
In the end about $21,000 were collected and committed for the Sikh defence fund. W.SN. congratulates the Yuba City Sangat and W.S.0., U.S.A. for their support for the freedom fighters. Rajinder Singh Chahan was the main organizer of the successful Event.
