Sir,
Through you we wish to inform Raja Karan Singh the Indian ambassador in Washington of our sufferings at the hands of officials of Indian Consulate in San Francisco. We came to America to imp- rove our lot. With many troubles we got agriculture cards from the immigration dept. to go to India we applied for our lost passports one year back. We made several phone calls on 415-668-0692. We only received angry answers from two women. When we tried to call Khann, a senior official, he refused to talk. Our efforts to call Rana, another official, were of no use.
When we tired, we visited San Francisco, and after a long wait we met Khanna. We informed him of our problems. He asked if we needed passports we would have to give dollars. We told him that we had no money. He told us to go away. When we requested him again he threatened to call the police. We have since met many others who have waited long to get their passports from the consulate.
We request Raja Karan Singh to help us.
