K A B U L ; Afghanistan: Associated Press correspondent Sharon Herbaugh, who covered the Afghanistan war for “our years, was killed with 14 other people Friday when their helicopter crashed in a mountain ravine in central Afghanistan. Herbaugh, 39, the AP bureau chief in Pakistan, and her Afghan translator Mohammed Rafi were working on a story about U.N. efforts to clear millions of land mines, an essential part of rebuilding the war-ravaged country.
