CHICAGO: The Asian American coalition of Chicago is holding its annual Lunar New Year Dinner Banquet on Jan.29, 1994 at Holiday Inn O Hare in Rosemont Iinois. The program will run from 6 p.m 10:p.m.

The coalition has been holding this function for the last 10 years. Sikh Americans of Chicago are very actively involved in this event since its inception and participate enthusiastically in big numbers to project a positive image of Sikhs to the main stream and affirm their identity. It attracts many elected officials influential politicians and dignitaries

The coalition consists of Americans with origin from tries each year’s event is hosted by the community of a particular Asian country. This year’s hostties Filipino American community and theme of the program is Asian Americans together a new decade of progress.

The tickets are 540 per person who includes dinner and cultural program Sikh teenagers group will perform Punjabi Bhangra dance. Moreover 1994 being an election year warrants an even better Sikh Americans participation in main stream politics.
