CHANDIGARH: A meeting of the executive of the Ghar Bachao Committee of Ropar district held here June 24 expressed its gratitude to the Chief Minister, Beant Singh, for assuring that the government would not demolish houses in villages falling in the proposed “New Chandigarh.”
