Religious content in the programs is very appropriate, particularly for own youth.

On behalf of our entire congregation we wish to thank APT for its services ‘and look forward to increases in the duration and frequency of programs. Ur charan S, Sangha, President Gurdwara Sri Guru Sikh Sabha, Edmonton Canada

Dear Editor,

We note with deep regret, the unfortunate efforts being made by some ‘quarters to seriously hinder the educational and information TV broadcasting initiatives undertaken over the years.

Based on the input we receive from a very wide range of viewers from our community in Edmonton and Northern Alberta, the programs are a very welcome source of information, education and inspiration for all Sikhs particularly the younger generation, who are mostly born and brought up in Canada.

Television is a very powerful means for mass communication and your commendable initiative to educate people about their rights, responsibilities and obligations are an excellent way (0 make people cognizant of their collective responsibilities. This will make us all better Sikhs and better Canadians.

Sikh religious ideology is based in knowledge, learning and sharing. APT, through broadcasting efforts, is doing a great service to the Canadian society, and we look forward 1o even broader coverage of historical, political, educational, economic, and other contemporary issues affecting us all.

We wish you good luck and look forward to seeing more programs, more frequently, Jasbir Singh, Spokesperson Sikh Federation of Edmonton, Canada.
