This is the second installment of the book by Dr. Sohan Singh, Panthic Committee member. The Golden Temple bore 300 bullet marks in addition to the shooting of one devotee, Avtar Singh Parowal and the sacred Guru Granth Sahib inside the Golden Temple which was and always remained free of any fire arms during the army action. Only the Akal Takhat, according to the Government line of propaganda, had to be reduced by gunfire to flush out the Amritdhari Sikhs who had dared to assert the sovereign status of the Akal Takhat. According to the ‘pseudo-speak lexicon’, the Sikh religion had not been defied because the brick and mortar structure had been spared. Thus, the Sikh religion is reduced to idol-worship and not the shabad Guru of Nanak. The same has been endorsed, may be unwilling, but surely effectively by Gyani Kirpal Singh, Jathedar of Akal Takhat. He has gone a step further and stated in a Television interview that Kotha Sahib was also intact. This contribution to the propaganda offensive against the Sikhs by the jathedar must be left to the Sarbat Khalsa for consideration action at an appropriate time. This example of the Elitist-Urbanite contamination of Akali politics it is this element of pujari’s which had closed the Harimandir to the Ninth Guru during his visit to Amritsar. The S.G.P.C. employees who are its paid servants are ground fine in the process of their coming through the mill; that they cannot be expected to either stand by the flag to the last breath and bullet, nor think independently at times of great danger. They become psychological casualties long before they reach the top rung of the bureaucratic ladder. This is why the old adage has called salaried servants. “Niched and the Sikh traditions had always excluded them from the Sikh councils.

“You are a Tankhaiya, please go out”, they were always told politely. We have lost sight of injunctions of the Sikh servants.

Everybody must know that it is not the demolition or safety of a brick or mortar structure but violation of the sovereignty of the Sikh doctrine that matter.

Another propaganda gimmick, the healing touch of Mrs.Gandhi has delivered has delivered a mortal blow to the Sikhs and Sikh religion. Let her take solace in the victory in the battle of Akal Takhat and leave the Sikhs alone to lick their wounds, Her healing touch is adding insult to injury. In the event this propaganda line backfired and led to importing Santa Singh and his Sarkar Sewa and the Congress in Sarbat Khalsa etc. etc. The Sikh psyche knows no other medicine except that every insult must be avenged. Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of Punjab, has said that the Government of India had declared a total war against the Sikhs and that the latter had accepted the challenge. He has given the right response whatever his credibility problems be. He has failed the Sikhs in many ways while chief Minister and is known to be staunch anti-Bhaindaranwala. But the devil must be given his due.

The Punjabi Daily, Ajit, has published a statement of Jathedar Akal Takhat, Gyani Kirpal Singh and Head Granti of Harimandir Sahib, Gyani Sahib Singh, exhorting the Sikh masses to come in large numbers to defend the Golden Temple Complex. This exhortation was published in bold letters on June 3, 1984, the day the Indian Army had been called. Gyani Zail Singh visited the Golden Temple Complex on 8.6.84 and found both jathedar Gyanni Kirpal Singh and Sahib Singh alive and well, The latter had conducted Gyani Zail Singh during his visit and also made a statement on the Door Darshan which had been resented very much by the Sikh masses, The Sikhs are also bewildered as to where was the jathedar of the Akal Takhat during the army sacrilege of the highest Sikh temporal authority. Had the jathedar of the Akal Takhat stood by the flag? No explanation or alibi can be entertained in this connection.

The Akal Takhat was built and consecrated as the highest Sikh temporal authority wherein the sixth Guru, Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib, established what is popularly known as Miri-Piri tradition of the Sikh religious school epitomizing the synthesis of politics and religion in Sikhism for ushering in a rule of Dharma in which the Sikh faith would be able to flower fully without any outside interference. For its own defense and to enforce the mile of Dharma, Akal Takhat was consecrated as the Divine throne and sovereign power center to defend the cause of righteousness and well-being of human race irrespective of caste, creed or color etc. of the people who sought its protection, The Guru, along with his senior discipline, that is Baba Budha Ji and Bhai Gurdas Ji, built it with their own hands and labor, thus giving it a touch of Divine sanctity, To remind the throne of Delhi of the Metalegal supremacy over it, the Akal Takhat was built two feet higher than the throne of Delhi. Shri Guru Hargobind Ji exhorted his Sikhs to bring him weapons and war horses as offerings in preference to cash. One of the paintings in Akal Takhat itself depicts the Guru receiving such offerings of weaponry from his disciples, All imperial orders were issued to the Sikhs, who were later baptized into the Khalsa Panth by the Tenth Guru in 1699 A.D. at the Kesgarh Sahib. Both religious and socio-political matters are brought up to and decided at the Akal Takhat Collection of weapons and weapon training therein is a sine qua non for the Sikhs at the Akal Takhat. Hence the official prattle about the collection of sophisticated weapons and weapon emplacements do not amount to or constitute sacrilege of the Akal Takhat but is its very life and soul. The message is clear and should have come as a clarion call from the Akal Takhat, had its jathedar stood by the flag.

The Khalsa Panth must first understand the Guru’s commandments and take orders from the Akal Takhat. The Sikhs should also see to it that all such commands are issued after a gurmatia arrived at in a meeting of the Sarbat Khalsa, which is confined to Amritdhari Sikhs and gurmatia is in line and does not contravene the Sikh tradition and Guru’s commandments. Thus it is that a meeting of all and sundry cannot be called Sarbat Khalsa. A gurmata must also be in line and not violate any of the Sikh tradition, nor should it introduce any ‘non-Sikh concepts or Birpran Ki Reet’ distortions. Gurmata is compounded of Guru and Mat, that is the wisdom imparted to us by the Guru’s teachings. Man-mat is its opposite.

Recently, the Akal Takhat has again come into the lime-light and the center of Sikh activity. There was a long lapse on the part of the Sikh leaders who kept away from it and had taken to Birprin Ki Reet’ in deciding Sikh affairs. To cite only example, the Anandpur Sahib resolution which had been adopted by the Akali executive in 1973 and ratified by a general body meeting of Akali Dal and on the basis of which the present Dharma Yudh Morcha was launched was never put up before a meeting of the Sarbat Khalsa at the Akal Takhat. Furthermore, even after its ratification by the general house of the Akali Dal, it was amended and a materially changed resolution had been sent to the Government of India and form the basis of negotiation the fact that one man can change the Sikh tradition of democracy and collective action, This is the essence of Birprin Ki Reet’. This has been followed up by a Hukamnama against Gyani Zail Singh being withdrawn by the high priests after ratification by the world Sikh Convention. The Akalis also by-passed the Sarbat Khalsa and the Akal Takhat by adopting the method of bringing in the Sant samaj to the exclusion of Sarbat Khalsa. The newly formed leadership of high priests is the latest Akali innovation there is no priestly order in the Sikh tradition and it is extraneous and repugnant. Some of the decisions of the Sikh high priests have come in for adverse criticism and caused lot of embarrassment to the Sikhs. The High Prgiest Gyani Kirpal Singh has been called a liar in many publications.

India’s National Canvas

Its lurid colors and lewd hues

Black Money and Parallel Economy

India tops the world in generating black money, equal to half the G.N.P. This has been revealed in a recent study of the I.M.F. (International Monetary Fund.)

No.2 Money in circulation is almost parallel economy and is an indication of the extent to which the Government of India is a proxy outfit of the *Elitist Urbanite’, real rulers. And they are there in every party, The communist, the Janata, the various derivatives of the Congress etc. which Jai Parkash Narayan had twice lumped together as pebbles and stones (Chatoo Battas) in the same bag that is the “Elitist Urbanites’.

Nation on Sale with Ready-made M.L.As.

These topics are making headlines. The readers fret and fume but feel impotent in the face of universal rot in the national affairs. Shri Bhajan Lal, Chief Minister, Haryana, and the villain of the Fourth Battle of Panipat of Aziz-Musood had an outstanding record of achievement in this field. “As was Customary in those days, Lord Clive bought his way into the parliament”, wrote Winston Churchill. So what is wrong with ready-made M.L.As and their sale in the open market against down payment with No.2 Money Only the price which has gone up to twenty lakhs for each M.L.A. is a bit too high. Britain successfully fought through her crisis and endures. We may or may not be able to stop this rot. At least Sikhs are up and doing to save India from its possible doom if its National Canvas: continues together more and more lurid color blotches with their attendant lewd hues. Out intentions are altruistic; our articulation and communication may be jammed, This is more likely to be realized a little later when there is a reunion of the minds in private and in the absence of pseudo-speak, incessant cerebration and kid stuff polemic.

Nill-Science Research And Development

“India no home for scientists”, thus spoke an Indian-born foreign scientist attending a meet on genetics in India recently. A correspondent of the Hindustan Times interviewed and reported his findings in considerable detail. Another Indian born, naturalized American, Nobel Laureate, Dr.Hargobind Khuran, is known to curse India like anything about its ill-treatment of talent and genius. He is known for his research in breaking the genetic code. This had to be done in the U.S.A. It cannot be allowed to happen in India because of its likely challenge to the Vedas being the repository of the ultimate in science and wisdom. Also urbanite overlords cannot tolerate any upstart inventors who may become multi-millionaires overnight as is happening in the U.S.A, etc, where time equality of opportunity does exist. Not so in India, It is safer for the urban rich to import new technology through foreign collaboration which the up-starts cannot do for lack of a big base. This is Elitist Urbanite’ field demonstration of scientific medicine These welfare programs were killed because, according to the them Health Minister and Deputy Health Minister, the village folks were being awakened and this would lead to social evolution. The Medical-Manthan Program had succeeded in searching 35 lakhs rural population in Just 13 months. The rural medical institute was meant to (a) train lower level worker in lab tests and then work in the villages giving every villager 4 tests free of charge and irrespective of his/her health status and as an indicator of category of health/ physical fitness to be repeated every five year; (b) open up a promotion channel for” the so-called class four employees who were being debarred from promotion to class three jobs because they had been denied chance of higher education; (c) motivate, enlighten and educate illiterate villagers in the field of health and sanitation and motivate them to prevent illness and make good use of the existing health facilities and, (d) to throw up a large amount of health statistics for research and precision planning.
