SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh government in a sudden move shifted Chief Secretary S.K. Chauhan and appointed a senior IAS officer of 1963 batch R.K. Anand as new Chief Secretary. The orders were issued April 23.
A financial commissioner rank officer Anand was currently holding a charge of Public Works Department and Forest department.
Chauhan has been appointed as chairman of finance commission set up under the new Punjab Act.
