To Nelson Mandela, President, African National Congress

Dear Mr. Mandela,

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you for your dedication, sincerity and commitment to serve the people of South Africa. The entire world is witnessing that millions of South African who were deprived of their right to vote under the apartheid system will be for the first time exercising their right to vote and elect leaders of their choice.

The historic event of the first non-racial democratic election which is about to take place for the first time in South African history did not occur by coincidence. It is about to happen because of your personal and thousands of other South African personal sacrifices and suffering. On behalf of World Sikh Organization, I commend you for your efforts and appeal to the Citizens of South Africa to support you and actively participate in the election process on April 27,1994. Didar Singh Bains President, W.S.O.
