Sir,
V.P. Singh’s controversial job plan, that reaffirms his policy of Reserving government jobs for low caste Hindus does have one simple solution. Instead of saving 50% of seats for Lower Castes, why not reserve 5% seats for Brahmins. The other 95% can go to everybody else. This way, the Brahmin is once again exalted and put on a pedestal. The Lower castes are never mentioned.
How ironic that all this is necessary, when the Indian government has argued eloquently in the past that the Caste system has been abolished and no longer exists.
