New Delhi, India — An army bomb taken from a firing range exploded, killing three teenage boys and injuring six others, the United News of India reported today.

The news agency said the incident occurred Sunday near Tiker, a village in western Gujarat state about 620 miles southwest of New Delhi.

The teenagers took the bomb from the army firing range and were trying to take its brass material off when it exploded, the news agency quoted policy as saying.
