NEW DELHI: The Indian Government has serious differences with Amnesty International which continue a persist despite the human rights organization’s recent visit to Bombay and its two meetings with the Government according  19 Foreign Secretary K Srinivasan We do not believe that Amnesty International had been fair balanced or just in its reports on India. They have used them for propaganda designed to elicit the greatest amount of publicity as a campaign against India Srinivasan said.

The Government was still holding dialogues with Amnesty International and hoped to settle the differences the Foreign Secretary said. India was not the only country to have differences of opinion with Amnesty International he added.
