WASHINGTON,DC: June 30, ‘The prayer Council for International Religious Freedom Inc. has expressed misgivings about an upcoming event “World Vision 2000″ organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America. In a letter addressed to the World Sikh Organization the Secretary of Praycofire-F” feared the Hindu Parishad was using this occasion to raise millions of dollars to directly fund the propaganda of “India for Hindus” only.
Stating, “VHP stands for eliminating over 150 million religious minorities (Muslims, Sikhs, Chines Hans and Buddhists) from India, he adds, “Our Organization is working for the promotion of peace and understanding among the various religious groups in that nation. We are deeply wormed about the intentions and concealed motives of this VHP”s festival in Washington.
Expressing deep concern about the motives of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the executive secretary of Praycofire-F” said, “ Our organization Praycofire-F, is deeply concerned about the upcoming €vent ‘World Vision 2000 Festival’ organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of Amenca. Tis parent organization Vishwa Hindu Parishad the India is outlawed currently because of their activities. The recent violence incited by VHP lead to the killing of more than 3000 people including women and children by their cadres. VHP is also responsible of the demolition of a 300 year old historic Muslim worship place in India. The festival which likely to be inaugurated by President Bill Clinton or Vice President Albert Gore both of whom may not be fully aware of the true nature and convictions of the organization. They Council described the attempt to bring the President to _ inaugurate the function as a desperate attempt to gain legitimacy by false representation of their motives.
