VERNON, CONN: S. Amarjit Singh Buttar, Member of WSO governing council has been appointed Justice of Peace for four years beginning January 3, 1989. He has also been appointed to the Water Pollution Control Authority by the Town Council for a term of one year. Mr. Buttar is a regular contributor to World Sikh News and is actively associated with a number of socio-religious bodies. He is particularly concerned with the violation of human rights of Sikhs in India.
In a recent telegram to the President of India, he pleaded for sparing the “innocent lives of Kehar Singh and Satwant Singh.”
