THERE was a popular saying in Mahulpur area that when a male child was born he was always given a “Gurhti” of football (soccer), This was, because every young player of that area could claim himself better than the top one of the other areas of Punjab. This area can proudly claim of producing soccer players ‘of national and international fame like S. Jarnail Singh, the Ist Indian Captain of the Asian soccer team.

Amardeep’s father, S. Harbajhan Singh Gill, himself a top soccer player and a famous coach, Was the product of the same area Mr. Gill has right infused the Mahilpur spirit in his little son Amurdeep who is now of five years age, This junior Gill has represented in the junior league Soecer competition under the age group of 8 years, Most happily. Amardeep. the youngest of all was adjudged the most valuable player of the year Amardeep has not only been able to maintain Mahilpur soccer spirit alive but he s proudly following the footprints of his great grandfather to be a top soccer player of U.S.A. one day.
