The Indian supreme court on October 8, dismissed’ another petition seeking the stay of execution of Bhai Sukhdev Singh and Bhai Harjinder Singh. The petition now filed by various Akali Dal groups together as well as by Bhai Karamjit Singh who faces the allegation of murderous attack on Rajiv Gandhi in Delhi a few years ago. Akali leader Simranjit Singh Mann’s advocate, B.L. Wadhera, made last minute efforts as an advocate to file yet another petition seeking stay of the execution, According to reports, the Supreme Court was holding a special session at 10:30 pm at the home of the chief justice. No word of the ruling had reached WSN at the time of this report. Earlier this week the court had dismissed petition filed by Simranjit Singh Mann.
