CANDIGARH, India: The Akali Dal (Longowal) is giving a serious consideration to take the issue of dismissal of the five High Priests by the S.G.P.C. to the court of law. According to the political observers, the Akali Dal (L) feels that the dismissal of the high priests is illegal and cannot stand the scrutiny of the court. According to those circles, a show given to the High Priests, by the S.G.P.C. before taking any final decision on their dismissal. These circles termed their dismissal as contravention of its constitution.

The Dal leader, S.S. Barnala, has decided to convene a meeting of the district chiefs and office bearers of its Dal to take stock of the situation and to finalize a subsequent course of action.
