AMRITSAR: Akali Dals plan to restart an agitation virtually flopped last week when senior Akali Dal (Badal) leader Wadala announced that the morcha had been called off because it had been successful in achieving “moral victory” against the Beant Singh Ministry.
But this claim was promptly denied by S.G.P.C, Chief Gurcharan Singh Tohra who is also a senior leader of the Badal group of Akalis. Tohra said the agitation would continue and a decision about its next phase would be taken soon.
Meanwhile, Mann and Manjit Singh led groups also announced that the morcha against the central government would continue. The Manjit group blames them for the failure of the morcha.
