Sir,
Please refer to the above mentioned article published on page seven of World Sikh News dated May 1.1992.
The sole purpose of the tour of Akal Academy students is to propagate the Guru Nanak’s message of “Spiritual Brotherhood of Man” and how to establish permanent peace in the World through the teachings of Gurbani.
The Jatha was invited to International Sikh Secretariat Building to perform Shabad Kirtan. The Akal Academy Students recited Shabads from Gurbani and explained the meanings of those Shabads to Sadh Sangat in English.
I was asked to say a few words about the mission of the tour and Akal Academy which I did. Sant Attar Singh Ji of Mastuana developed the idea of combining the Spiritual Education with the Scientific Education and Sant Teja Singh Ji founded Kalgidhar Trust and Akal Academy to Trust and Akal Academy to carry on his idea.
Your article due to misrepresentation of facts has overtones of political nature which I never said or intended to imply.
Our visit to the Int. Sikh Secretariat was strictly religious in nature.
