AJIT S. CHATTHA was born to S. Bahadur Singh and Sardarni Sant Kaur at Chak 349, District Montgomery (now in Pakistan). He got his B.Sc. degree from D.A.V. College, Jullundur, before migrating to U.S.A. in 1959. He got B.S. degree from San Jose University in 1963. He served Raytheon, a reputed electronic firm for twelve years in different capacities. Later he joined National Semi Conductor and now, Mr. Chattha is Director (Quality) with the firm. Mr. Chattha also Owns an agricultural farm at Yuba City as a major partner.
Mr. Chattha is one of the founder members of Sikh Temple, Freemont, and also served as a president of its management committee for a term. Mr. Chattha is a pleasing personality and is most popular figure in social and friendly circles. His tit bits keep them in spirits for a long time. Mr. Chattha’s nature of helping everybody when in need still holds a circle of large number of obliged persons who are indebted to him for timely assistance for a job or any other help needed by them.
Mr. Chattha was married to Swarnjit Kaur in 1967 and they are proud parents of two sons, Jasminder (18) and Rajminder (14). The couple is so popular that no gathering or party is considered lively, if the Chathas are not seen in it.
