LUDHIANA, Punjab, India: The AllIndia Sikh Students Federation has declared that it will continue the “struggle for the liberation of Sikhs”. The Struggle could be led by Sikh youths only.
This declaration was made in a Statement issued here. The five Page statement said an emergency meeting of the Federation was held with Mr. Guriit Singh, President, in the chair to review the situation in the State,
The statement was issued by Mr. Sewa Singh, Propaganda Secretary.
It said the Federation took strong exception to the recent SGPC Executive resolutions and warned of serious consequences if the “gurmatta” passed by the “Sarbat KhaIsa” was challenged.
It warned that if the SGPC issued any statement against the four head priests, it would be taught a lesson.
The Federation alleged that 75 per cent of the leaders of the SGPC were “indulging in all sorts of evils”.
The Federation assured the head priests that it would abide by any decision to form a joint council of militant organizations.
It said if repression of Sikhs continued, “the consequences for India will be serious”.
The Federation warned the Chandigarh police of dire consequences if any harm was done to Mr. Satpal Singh Dhillon, Acting General Secretary, and Mr. Surinder Singh Kishanpuri.
‘The Federation alleged that ‘Sikh young men were being implicated in false cases and killed in fake encounters, This could have serious repercussions.
According to the statement, the emergency meeting was attended by Mr. Sher Singh, Vice President; and a Secretary; Mr. Gumam Singh, Finance Secretary; Mr. JasKaran Singh, Organizing Secretary; Mr. Davinder Singh Atwal, Mr. Phoola Singh (Sangrur), Mr. Sukhbir Singh, Mr. Gurmit Singh Patwari, Mr. Amarjit Singh, Mr. Manjit Singh Bomb, Mr. Amrik Singh Batala, Mr. Jagjit Singh and Mr. Kashmir Singh.
