New York:— Three leaders of the All India Sikh Student Federation have declared that they do not recognize Bhai Jashir Singh as the Jathedar of the Akal Takhat because the Panthic committees do no recognize the claimant.
Bhar Daljeet Singh, convenor of the A.LS.S.F., S. Ranjit Singh Gill and S. Sukhminder Singh Sandhu (The latter two detained in New York jail) have in a joint Statement said that they do not accept the news report that the Damdami Taksal recognizes him as the jathedar of the Akal Takhat.
They categorically stated that they stand firmly behind the deceleration of the Panthic Committee on the issue.
They said the person who issued the statement reportedly on behalf of the AISSF had no locus standi and doubted if the Damdami Taksal had taken any such decision. They called up Baba Thakur Singh and Bhai Manjit Singh to clarify their stand.
The AISSF leaders also, declared that they would continue their struggle till Khalistan was achieved.
