AMRITSAR, India: The Ad-hoc Committee of the All India Sikh Youth Federation led by Harminder Singh Kahlon has been dissolved and replaced by a new seven member ad-hoc ‘committee. Mr. Gusjt Singh Ferozpur, close relation of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale is the convener of the new committee. The other six members are Mr. Swarm ‘Singh Khalsa, Mr. Jagdish Singh ‘Malki, Mr. Sarbjit Singh Bath, Mr. Baldev Singh Bal, Mr. Vijay pal Singh, and Mr. Makhan Singh. The list of the names was released at a press conference held at a secret place on Sept. 24 by Mr. Khalsa and Mr. Mabli. Mr. Khalsa had also been appointed the propaganda secretary of the committee. Mr. Gurjit Singh, Mr. Khalsa and Mr. Mathi and Mr, Bath were also the members of the dissolved ad-hoc committee. The presidents of district committees will be nominated soon. Bhai Mohkam Singh now detained and Bhai Ajaib Singh, Bhai Malkiat Singh, Bhai Susi Singh all belonging to Damdami Taksal have been named as advisors to the organization. Mr. KhaIsa and Mr. Malhi told newsmen that the meeting of the senior leaders of organization was held at a secret place on Tuesday at the initiative of Bhai Ajaib Singh and Bhai Malkiat Singh of the Damdami Taksal which decided to revamp all units and cells of the organization. Pointing out that the Federation has been working under the direction of the Taksal since Bhai Amrik Singh who was elected its president . The meeting decided to continue to work under the guidance of Taksal in future too. No decision regarding the functioning of the Federation would be effected without the consent of the Taksal. ‘According to a resolution at the meeting it any leader of the organization is found to have links with the government, betraying the organization, using any intoxicants or having elicit relations with Women will be punished the punishment included the death sentence.
By another resolution it was resolved that any programme to liberate Sikhs from the shakles of slavery evolved by the Federation will be implemented after having approval of the Taksal.
