NEW DELHI (PTI): The Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV) that causes AIDS originated in Gabon, says an Indian virologist.
Dr. Khorshed Pavri also says the so-called new virus-like particle reported at the AIDS conference in Amsterdam last month Is similar to the one she herself had isolated six years ago from a Bombay prostitute.
