MANILA, PHILIPPINES: The health secretary warned Jan, 31 that the Philippines would face an AIDS crisis if the Roman Catholic church stops the government from handing out condoms.
The influential Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines has strongly opposed Health Secretary Juan Flavier’s program of distributing condoms for family planning and AIDS prevention.
