NEW DELHI: Afghan foreign minister Abdul Wakil called on Prime Minister VP Singh here and handed a message from President Najibullah.
Wakil arrived here on Monday for a four-day official visit was the first high level contact between the two sides after the change of government here.
During official talks on Tuesday, Wakil extended support to India’s stand on the Kashmir issue.
He condemned the involvement of Peshawar based Afghan Mujahideen groups in activities in Kashmir under the patronage of the inter-services intelligence agency of the Pakistan army.
Afghanistan favors a bigger role by India to settle the eleven year old Afghan conflict under the auspices of the United Nations.
