Mr. Morton Abramowitz President of The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Washington, DC 20037

Dear Mr. Abramowitz,

It is shocking surprise to learn that the Carnegie Endowment dedicated to International Peace has invited as guest speaker Mr. L.K. Advani, leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Can it be that it is not known that BIP and Mr Advani espouse intense racism? They have publicly expressed their mission to make India a land for people of the Hindu religion. All minorities, be they Christians, Jews, Sikhs, Zoroastrians and specially the Muslims, are to be subordinated to Hindus.

The following public declarations and actions by Advani and other BIP leaders speak for themselves:

Gol walker, Founder of the B.J.P. envisions a Hindu community emulating the race theory of Hitler when he writes in his book “We or Our Nationhood Defined:

“German race pride is a good lesson for us in India to learn and profit by.” He goes on, “The non Hindu people of India must adopt the Hindu culture and language, must learn to respect and hold in reverence Hindu religion must entertain no ideas but those of glorification of the Hindu race and culture. They may stay in the country wholly subordinated to the Hindu nation, claiming nothing, deserving no privileges, far less, any preferential treatment, not even citizens’ rights”.

In October 1990 Advani personally led huge marches of Hindu zealots bent upon demolishing a historical Muslim house of prayer and replacing it with a Hindu temple. The resulting destruction of minority lives and property did not dissuade him,

We sincerely hope you will take the opportunity to personally determine from Advani and his supporters their basis for racist chauvinism in India whose constitution dictates secular democracy.
