INDORE: (Central India),
LK Advani, president of the right wing ‘Bhartiya Janata Party’ has said that even if he was arrested and the “rath” (chariot on which he is traveling), impounded by the govt of Uttar Pradesh, the upsurge for construction of the temple would not be stemmed.
“I am confident that no confrontation will take place when the Ram Rathyatra reaches Uttar Pradesh from Bihar”, the BJP leader said. Addressing public meetings in central state of Madhya Pradesh, en route the 10,000 Km route from Somnath in the western Gujrat to Ayodhya, the holy city of” Hindus in UP, Advani said the only solution to the tangle was to relocate ‘the Rabri Mosque’ at a distance of 5 Kms from its present site and it was for the federal govt to act on this suggestion.
‘The Babri Masjit’ has not been used for prayer since 1936 and therefore there was nothing wrong in shifting it, the BJP chief said, citing an example of about 200 Masjids having been shifted in Pakistan for the construction of a military cantonment.
“No Muslim uttered a word against it,” Advani said.
