NEW DELHI: L-K Advani the BJP chief said that recent statements by US leaders and officials had shown that America was certainly not neutral on Kashmir, He ridiculed Indian Governments tendency to explain away Pak-leaning American pronouncements as personal opinions of officials as was done in the case of Robin Raphael’s highly objectionable Statement questioning Kashmir’s accession to India.
The BJP leader said there had been a general sense of disappointment with S.S.Rays performance as Ambassador in Washington, called for his recall and dismissal.
He made these observations at & press conference his first after the party’s defeat in the recent elections and his release from jail in the Ayodhya demolition case on Friday.
The Congress party’s new culture of unaccountability and immorality as reflected in its handling of the JPC report on the security scam and the Governments bungling on Kashmir with all its ramifications, Advani said, would dominate the political discourse during the current year, His party will continue to press for punishing the guilty of the Bofors scandal and the Security scam,
Kashmir issue, he said, was also related to the broader concept of Hindutva. The Government must undertake a vigorous would campaign to educate International opinion about the ethnic cleansing carried out in the valley by Pak-trained militants, In any discussion on human rights at international for a India must exert to ensure that the problem of Kashmir migrants acquired a high place on the agenda.
