Sir,
Our number one objective has become the achievement of an independent state. A viable pragmatic plan needs to be formulated. In order to execute a plan, resources commensurate with the magnitude of the plan are needed. We would also need a strong will and desire to execute the plan.
We also need to learn the techniques adopted by successful leaders who unite their people and lead their country to independence for example the People’s Republic of China and Mao Tse Tung. I am neither a communist nor a socialist but I admired the way Mao achieved his objectives. “Know yourself and know your enemy, hundred battles and hundred victories. If you know yourself and do not know your enemy, you have every reason to fear the enemy. If you do not know yourself and do not know the enemy, you are bound to meet with disaster,’’ said Mao. Mao, China was a fragmented country ruled by scores of Feudal Lords who were fighting and undermining each other. The Mao did not unify China without a well-conceived plan and resources.
I am quite frustrated by the way we are going about doing things. Negotiations have failed because of false promises made by Rajiv Gandhi. We have adopted the path of confrontation. Do we have a trained effective fighting force under a unified command?
I would like to solicit diverse opinions to some questions. Who is or are our present leaders? Do they have a realistic plan? Do we have sufficient resources to implement our plan under a unified command?
