Sir,
I admire your efforts to report factual news regarding the plight of Sikhs in the Hindu dominated India. The Sikhs are being continuously tortured and massacred. by the Hindu Government’s biased. Special Police Units, out of control Military troops and not to mention hired thugs. The above atrocities being committed against the Sikh Nation are coming to light and the rest of the world is becoming aware of the crimes against the Sikhs by the Indian Government the recent positive step was the involvement of the U.S. Congressmen regarding the trade bill sanctions against importation of Indian Products into United States . That securely had an immediate reaction from Gandhi.
But behold my Sikh brethren !! Hindus are known for their devious ways and treacherous thinking. Let them not fool you with this pretentious ploy and gesture. Do. not be taken in by their false promises. These are nothing but delaying tactics to reduce tension and efforts to keep the ruling Congress Party in power in the forthcoming election towards the end of this year.
This is the time to show Unity and stick together and not flinch away from the original demands of the Independent State of Khalistan. Too much innocent Sikh blood has been shed. Let those sacrifices be not in vain and we should honor the Sikh Martyrs by. making Khalistan a reality.
Forget about any peace talks with the Government of India until it agrees for the immediate withdrawal of its occupying forces from the Punjab soil and agree to meet in a neutral place to discuss the transfer of power to the Sikhs.
It is time the Sikhs set their personal differences aside. My suggestion is that all various Sikh parties involved in the struggle for the liberation of Khalistan (Political and Militant Leaders) meet together for a conference in the haven of a neutral country that is sympathetic to the just cause of Sikhs. The purpose of this Conference will be to elect a Government in Exile. (This Government in Exile will comprise of members selected from all the parties that are involved in the struggle for the establishing of Khalistan.)
Once the leaders and representatives are in place, the Government in Exile will present its demands and conditions to the Indian Government, and the copies of these demands will be circulated to all the leaders of the elected Governments around the world, especially the British Government, which was a witness to all the agreements and promises made at the time India got Independence from the British.
Then the Government in Exile should open its Government in Exile Offices/Consulates in various countries around the world and the appointed Ambassadors in those countries should start lobbying the leaders in the host countries. The rumors that Sikhs are terrorists should be neutralized by educating the locals and making them aware of the true facts that the Hindu governments terrorist activities against the Sikhs have driven the Sikhs to fight and take up arms to save their dignity, honor and preserve their religion.
Once these policies are placed in motion, the Sikhs should immediately launch fund raising campaign. The same time we elect our Government in Exile, a body responsible for managements and disbursement of funds should also be confirmed. The body will be held accountable for all the financial transactions that will occur during. the struggle for Khalistan. It must also be realized that the members involved full time in the struggle need to be reimbursed financially to enable them to meet them and their families day to day obligations. Only then are we going to have full commitment from the people involved, otherwise personal problems will hinder their devotion and concentration that would result in the birth of the Sikh Nation Khalistan.
While we are on the subject of Government in Exile, perhaps you or readers through your esteemed paper can enlighten me. How and when government in exile in England about? What procedures, if any were followed to elect the present Office Bearers? What are their qualifications and what experience have they had in running a Public Office in Punjab or for that matter overseas? Have they made any Public statements or made any demands to the Government of India as individuals or as a collective body of the Sikhs representing Sikh demands? Have they kept any records of the political issues that they have discussed or have spoken publically?
Please let not my questions offend anybody. There is a lot of mystery about this Government in Exile and I would like to know how come all these elections took place in England and the Sikhs around the world were never informed until it was all over? What is the address and telephone numbers of the elected Government’s Offices. The names and designations of the Office Bearers. How is this Government in Exile functioning and what are its day to day schedule or achievements? Hardey Singh Panesar Safford, AZ 855469729.
