ONTARIO: All media representatives are invited to attend the World Sikh Organization Annual International Convention that is scheduled for June 4-6,1994 that will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Indian. Government’s attack on the Golden Temple of Amritsar in June, 1984

Under the guise of “national security” the Indian army”s “operation Bluestar” had over $0,000 army petsonnel storm the Golden Temple in ‘Amritsar and 38 other historic Sikh Gurdwaras in Punjab, in 1984, The carnage in India continues with documented reports of extra-judicial killings, staged encounters, and involuntary disappearances, that number in the thousands of an annual basis. Amnesty International recently stunted in its report to the US Congress on April 21,1994, that “the brutality and killings in Jammu and Kashmir and in Punjab represents one of the great human rights tragedies of our time.”

The Delia Banquet Hall at 90 Woodbine Downs Blvd in Toronto will host an International delegation on June 4, 1994 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Guests will include representatives: from the UK, India, US and Canada, who will speak on various issues of common concern to all peoples who must watch continual suffering and oppression of human kind. The issues concerning the United Nations guarantee of the right to self-determination challenges to the enshrinement of such rights.
