AMRITSAR: Whilst we are deeply saddened by the loss of our General, Punjab Singh Shapa, our hearts are filled with pride and admiration for the way in which our national hero laid down his life for the resistance movement. The Sikh way of life has taught us that it is a glorious death for those who give their lives resisting tyranny and oppression in the battle field. In the past decade, countless Sikh martyrs have laid down their lives so that dominated, exploited and suppressed humanity may be freed from the chains of slavery, It is a tribute to our Sikh tradition and heritage that so many amongst us are; willing to sacrifice themselves for the; Creation of a new just order,
‘The Panthic Committee appeals to) the Sikh people to reflect upon they martyrdom of Bhai Punjab Singh Shapa in a positive manner for such’ glorious sacrifices can only strengthen our resolve to continue with our just’ ‘Struggle until we have achieved our’ goal of national liberation, and freedom.
