Let us address the remarks of De John Spellman He mentioned that Indian Constitution includes at (Sikh) as a Hindu belief I must mention here that only due to this reason there is continues struggle going on in Panjaly resulting in inhuman treatment of Sikh youth. That is why the Sikh youth is cunning away to other countries for asylum. Now we deal with Sikh religion that it is not a part of Hindu religion.

Guru Hargobind with five Sikhs went 10 See his newly born son. On contemplating him the Guru Knew that His son would be a great hero powerful to endure the sword and so called him Teg Bahadur He prophesied that the boy should have a son who would develop a third religion distinct from those of the Hindus and

Mulvane and what would destroy the reign of tyranny in Hindustan (refer page 331 Vol. IV by Macauliffe)

Guru Gobind Singh had given the following instruction to the Sikhs;

Worship not an idol and drink not the water in which it hath been bathed. The rules of caste and of the stages of Hindu life are erroneous. Let my Sikhs take care not to practice them. O° Sikhs listen to me and adopt not ceremonies of the Hindus for Supposed advantages of the manes of ancestors (refer page 118 Vol. V by Macauliffe) After baptism ceremony to the Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh explained to them what they might and what they might not do. they MUST wear the following articles which names begin with; K namely Kes (long hair) Kangha (a comb) Kirpan (& sword) Kachh (short drawers) kara ( % steel bracelet) On this day thousands Sikhs were baptized The world on seeing at hire religion was astonished enemies  apprehended that it would deprive them of sovereignty . (Refer page 95-97 Vol. V by Macauliffe) For further references by Macauliffe photo copy of page 422 Vol. 111 is attached. Finally I close this subject declaring that Sikh religion is distinct from Hindu religion and no further research is required

Guru Gobind Singh’s last instruction to the Sikhs.

When the Sikhs came again to take their last farewell of the Gun they inquired who was to succeed him. he replied T have entrusted you ta the immortal GOD. Ever remain under HIS Protection and trust none besides whenever there are five Sikhis assembled who abide by the Gura’s teachings know that fam in the midst of them. Who served them shall obtain the reward thereof the fulfillment of all   heart’s desires. Read the history of your Gurus from the time of Guru Nanak. Henceforth the Guru  be Khalsa and Khalsa the Guru. I have infused my mental and bodily spirit into the Guru Granth Sahib had the Khater After the Guru entrusted you ta the immortal GOD. Ever remain under HIS Protection and trust none besides Whenever there are five Sikhis assembled who abide by the Gura’s teachings know that fam in the midst of them. Who servetiy them shall obtain the reward thereof the fulfillment of all is heart’s desires. Read the history of your Gurus from the time of Guru Nanak. Henceforth the Guru shall be Khalsa and Khalsa the Guru. I have infused my mental and bodily spirit into the Guru Granth Sahib had the Khater.

After the Guru bathed and changed His dress. He then read the Japji and repeated an Ardas or supplication. while doing so He gave instructions that no clothes should be bestowed as aims in His name. He then put on muslin waist band slung his bow on his shoulder and took his musket in his hand. He opened the Gum Granth Sahib and placing

Then uttering Wahe Guru ji ka Khalsa! Wahe Guru ji ki Fateh.

He circumambulated the sacred volume and said 0″ Beloved Khalsa let him who desireth to behold me behold the Guru Granth. Obey the Gur Granth Sahib. It is the visible body of the Guru. And let him who desireth to meet me diligently search its hymns (refer page 243 Vol. V by Macauliffe. I have only given references of two famous and distinguished British scholars who have lived in Punjab India for a long period and got the firsthand information from the inhabitants of that country Dr. John Spellman has not been able to clear the important issue of the case and still need further research In some cases he has quoted the incomplete information which leads to misunderstanding. I have cleared the whole issue and left no doubts and no further research is required. However certain parts of Dr John Spellman’s article will be clarified in future installments. Now I conclude that:

  1. The Sikh religion is distinct from those of the Hindu and Muslim.

2 Sikh must always wear the five articles which begins with

Sikh must wear turban.

  1. Sikh must behold Guru Granth Sahib as the visible body of the Guru and must obey its teachings.

According to the “The Constitution Act 1982″ every Canadian has the fundamental freedom of conscience and religion. If the Canadian accepts the Sikh and Other minorities into this country they accept their religious practices too Then the Canadian Institutions like RCMP Police and Armed forces must amend their uniform and dress regulations to. Accommodate minority faiths. THE SIKH RELIGION

The following was written on a theme of Kabir:

I practice not fasting nor observe the Ramzan I serve Him who will preserve mi¢ at the last hour.

The one Lord of the earth is my God

Who judged both Hindus and Musalman.

I go not on a pilgnmage to Makka nor worship at Hindu places of pilgrimages.

I take the Formless God into my he and there make obeisance unto Him. I am neither a Hindu nor 2 Musalman.3

The soul and body belong to God whether He be called Allah or Kam.

1 The lunar month of the Muhammadan fast.

2 Also translated-I have renounced both the Hindus and the Muhammadans.

3 This line is very important in reference to recent controversies as to whether the Sikhs are Hindus.
