JAMMU (PTI): India’s northern states will share intelligence and information’ and coordinate their activities in order to effectively deal with militancy an official spokesman said here.

This was decided at a meeting of police chiefs of northern states and senior officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Government held under the chairmanship of federal minister of state for internal security Rajesh Pilot at Srinagar the State’s summer capital June 12. The meeting appointed Nodal officers in these states for the purpose of coordination and effective operations the spokesman said

Besides a special cell of Jammu and Kashmir police would be set up at New Delhi to help establish the identities of the Kashmir militants apprehended and also climinating chances of inconvenience to innocent people visiting Delhi for avocations and other purposes.
