NEW DELHI: For the first time since Independence, the Union Council of Ministers does not have either a Brahmin or a Thakur.
The dominant constituents of the national coalition the Janata Dal, Samajwadi Party, and the DMK have sworn by social justice in their election manifestos. This call for social justice has been primarily for giving more power to the underprivileged.
