April 1999 seems far away. Not so Khalsa Ji if we intend to celebrate the birth of the Khalsa in a meaningful way we must get organized immediately.

We must decide if planning should occur at local national or international level. Do we need a national coordinating body? What type of educational programs do we wish to present to our community as well as to the non-Sikh communities?

Are there any exhibits that we can display? Should we conduct seminars on cultural social economic political educational religious historical etc. aspects of Sikhism? And Where Should there be a big conference at one place or many mini conferences at various places? Should we plan Nagar kirtan all over the world on asset day with Langar for the poor? I personally feel we need to start planning now. We need to discuss ways for fund raising and accountability. Given a command we would be honored to organize the first meeting in Chicago the home of the 1993 Parliament of World’s Religion Please send your suggestions opinions comments to your Sewadar Balwant S.
