JAGMEET Singh Brar said that U.S. President Bill Clinton was entirely right in voicing his concern about the situation in Punjab. The voice of Sikhs had not been heard for47 years the MP said. It was wrong to say that all was well with Punjab ‘The rural Punjab was seething with anger. The human rights of Sikhs had been violated in numerous ways this included the outright killings in fake encounters as well as exploitation of Punjab’s wealth including water Brar added. The member criticized Jathedar of Akal Takhat and other priests for exonerating Buta Singh for his role in rebuilding Akal Takhat Buta Singh he said was a pany to much more than the rebuilding issue. He was one of the main advisers of Mrs.Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. The member demanded autonomy for Punjab to solve the state’s problems.
