Sree Guru Granth Saheb Jee was completed on September 9th 1604 by the 5th Guru Arjan Dev Jee. Iris almost 390 years since the first Prakaash of Sree Guru Granth Saheb Jee was done in Harimandir Saheb So far however for whatever reason it has not been possible for the Sikh nation to record the singing of al! the shabads of Sree Guru Granth Saheb Jee sri the raag in which they are inscribed therein
By the Grace of the Guru a team of dedicated GurSikh at the Sikh Resource Center (RR#I Princeton Ontario Canada NOJ 1V0 519 4584605) has undertaken the service in their humble spirit to record the singing of all the shabads of Sree Guru Granth Saheb in the raags in which they appear in Sree Guru Granth Saheb Jee
AS this is a stupendous task it can only be completed by an overall Panthic effort. In view of this all the GurSikh who have recordings of any Shabad Sung in the same raag in which it is inscribed in Sree Guru Granth Saheb Gre requested to forward these to the Sikh Resource Center *The recordings are required so that they may be included in the master copies being prepared at the Center
Again as this project is of great magnitude and grandeur if requires the contribution of* resources in terms of creating recordings on audio tapes and Providing these to the Sikh Resource Center
Therefore all Gursikhs who have the talent and gift of singing in raags are requested to sing the shabads in the same raags as they are inscribed in any one of the 31 raags in Sree Guru Granth Saheb Jee and forward them to the Sikh Resource Center at the following address: RR#1Princeton Ontario Canada NOJ IV0 Please do not hesitate to call (519) 4584605 if you have any questions.
